"My Father passed away peacefully on March 3, 2023 with the guidance from Carlyne Exume, RN and Hospice of New York. My Family was struggling with watching my father suffer at home while waiting for his primary doctor to get back to us after requesting help with a referral for hospice care. After the referral to Hospice of New York, the admissions heard our urgency and lead us to Carlyne. Carlyne had stepped in to help my family by coming out of her assigned area! After meeting all of us, we found her to be compassionate and we were very comfortable and understood what process would be. Carlyne saw my father and knew right away that my father needed comfort medication. Within a short amount of time, we received the comfort medication from Avanti Pharmacy and the medication was administered by my daughter who is a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital. Within a half an hour after receiving this medication, we could not believe how quick my father would finally be at peace to release and pass in comfort. We want to thank Carlyne from the bottom of our hearts and thank Hospice of New York for having Carlyne help our family during this time."
